If i tell my relatives outrightly how hurt they make me feel with words they say, irregardless of how little they have said, they will tell me, "aiyah such a small matter, why you get so sensitive about it, you always like this, shouldnt be so sensitive"
Can i then ask them back... if it is a small matter, why do u bring it up in the first place knowing how "sensitive" i am and how hurt i will be? Surely, if you care anything about me, you would pride my feelings over "small matter" right?
Perhaps they think that by bringing this "small matter up" it would change me and i wouldnt commit this "small matter" anymore. Then... it really isnt a small matter is it?
In addition, if you keep attacking me, and if you keep faulting my reactions to your remarks, are YOU not the sensitive one here? Can you underline your TRUE motives for consistently putting me down? can you tell me what your INTENTIONS are for scolding, taunting, chiding? If i were the one to use that same attitude and that same remarks to you, can u treat it as flippantly as you expect me to? If i get this right, what you are essentially saying is that you expect to able to tell me every single details of my faults and not have a single reaction, to digest it and change it silently without any protest, and to swallow your reasoning because you are the "PERFECT" example to follow right?
i dont see a point to all this, it serves no purpose and i do not like to indulge in things that have no purpose.

poor thing. i know how you feel, but try to see that your family ultimately loves you. sometimes family members just say things that hurt, but I believe they do it unwittingly.
