I dont like it at all. Not one bit when people reply my "how are you?" with "im fine". It is a superificial answer.
Its an answer that closes things up for discussion. Its a, "thats the correct and right answer to say so im going to say it". NO ONE is really fine. all things in their life is not a neutral line. No one's trendline is perfectly horizontal.
Tell me..."im good" or "things are not going so well" and if you dont want to talk about it, then tell me directly, "its not the time to talk" or "i dont want to dwell on it" and i'll understand. But dont say you're fine when you're not. its a lie. and dont say you're fine when you're happy cause thats a lie too. And i dont lie to you.. so please dont lie to me.
Ok, im being too sensitive, im reading too much into things. oh well, some idiosycracies on my part i guess. =p
