Boo...

Yesterday i went for a networking session for Singapore Business people currently based in Hong Kong. Bunch of uppity snobs and ass-wiping dirts.

All right, thats not true at all, i take that back... but some of them are, you can see it through the gleam in their slit eyes and you can sense it in their superficial and plastic laughter.

But there are those who are so high up in the corporate ladder that they dont bother being rude and snappy at you just cause you're an intern who's going to leave Hong Kong in 1.5 months time. These are the directors, the presidents, the chairmen who sit down and chat with you and listen to what you say and you in turn, cant help but feel impressed at their calmness, their confidence, their intelligence, the subtle power.

I heard this quote when i was working in SMU as a tour guide, "the top people are the nicest people because they have no need to be rude anymore, they've gotten what they want and are just sitting back and relaxing and taking it all in. The rude ones are those who are still climbing their way up and they are the ones who dont care who they step on."

In fact, even in SMU, you can certainly tell those who have the drive to do well and WILL do well and those who would scrap through. I am glad however, that none of my friends are like some of the dirts i have met last night.

There is definitely a distinction between those that you know will do well and those you know are just scums looking for a breakthrough. If there's one thing i absolutely abhor, its stupid people who think they are smart and starts SHOWING OFF about how much they have when they only have peanuts.

Ok, so u ask whats with the vociferation? Just along the lines of fucking dirty businessmen pawing their filthy claws on my body. And desperately trying to impress the hell out of me by treating Qy and I to dinner and showing us around clubs he has joined. You cant fool anyone asshole, your mannerism, your clothes, your speech give away that you're nothing more than a low-down trying-and-failing-miserably-to-act-smart pauper.

And the worst part is the touching, the holding of the waist and the shoulders and the pulling close to your fucked up, shrivelled, wrinkled, overly large piece of shit you call a body. Trying to get us to drink more on the pretext of having fun...

I wish i can say I had ended the night with a glorious slap as a repayment to the dinner and drinks but i had neither the guts to pull it off nor the strength nor the stupidity.

If there's a golden rule to remember, its dont burn your bridges, no matter how crippled and fucked up they may be.
