Was having lunch with my folks and here's an interesting conversation between them that explains why they're still together after all these years...
*Waiter comes and serves drinks*
Dad: (Gets up and greets waiter) "Eh Hello Hello"
(Waiter shakes hand and walks off)
Mum: Wow Da (what she calls my dad), that man is still here ah? After so long.
Dad: Yar he is
Mum: But he looks so old now...
Dad: Yar maybe its the stress...
Mum: (Hears dad wrongly) Yar he is the one that left
Dad: (Hears mum wrongly) Yar.. he's stressed then he became so old, not easy
Mum: (Hears dad wrongly again) Wow da, you can still remember
Dad: (Hears Mum correctly but proceeds to take credit) Ya i can, of course i can.
(Silence ensues)
Stacey listens and looks on bemused... Funny how a series of misunderstanding leads to a conversation that is mutually understood.
