I left the car thinking you would come
at a later time, you didnt

I waited all night for you to come
till the wee morning, you didnt

I laid out fresh clothes for when you come
on the chair, you didnt

I went to bed believing you would come
closed my eyes, you didnt

My heart stubbornly said you would come
My head said no and you didnt

At three, I knew then you wouldnt come
my heart fell cause you didnt

This morning I wondered why you didnt come
the empty bed, you didnt

I know I told you, you neednt come
