Another Crazy Adventure

Do i get a kick telling people im going to Africa to work for one year?

Oh yea... i so do.

The look on their face goes either towards (pls try it)..

1) Two eyebrows raised, eyes wide open.. This is the "WOW, that's amazing!" look.
2) One eyebrow raised, lips pursed together... This is the "are you sure?" look.

And then the usual questions that follow which givesaway their actual feelings about it...

1) When are you going?
2) How long will you be there for?
3) What does Jiang think about it?
4) Are you sure?
5) Did you choose it or was it told by the company for you to go?
6) What does your family say about it?

Its an adventure to me... it has blossomed from just a thrill of the experience to now, a longing for it.

I've repeated this to everyone who listens... I am not prepared to look back when im in my mid thirties and think "what if i had gone to Africa, what would that be like?". I would also not like to grow up, thinking that i had forsaken an opportunity to venture out like this and be on my own, work on my own when im young and have no legal committments (e.g. marriage/ kids).

And when i think of it from that perspective, any thoughts on not going just seems irrelevant anymore.

Oh yea.. and Jiang is supportive ok....
